Jackie was an avid reader from an early age, and always had a passion for the written word.

However, it wasn’t until 2012 that she first put pen to paper and began her writing journey.

Her first project was to write a children’s chapter book aimed at young readers between the ages of 7 – 9 years, published in March 2018.

Discovering her love for writing short fictional stories, she produced a trilogy of contemporary women’s fiction, namely the Roller Coaster series.

Her last work was completing and publishing her memoir, outlining her experience of living with an inherited blood disorder, titled HbSS Sticks and Stones, Blood and Bones.

Jackie was involved in the running of several writers’ groups and actively supported the local writing community.

Sadly Jackie passed away very unexpectedly in December 2021. She is greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
