This month, our annual Christmas Luncheon will be held in the Glass Room at Helensvale Bowls Club. The event is free for registered HWG members and $40 per person for guests. Please note that the Guest fee can be paid in cash only on the day.

Please RSVP by 8 December.

Winners of the 'Serenity' short story competition will be announced at the luncheon.

This month's meeting our Guest Speaker is the amazing award-winning author - Tina Clark T.M. Clark. Tina's books cater to a wide audience ranging from children to adults. She is the coordinator for CYA Conference and co-hosts the Writers at Sea retreat.

Our second speaker is new HWG member Hamid Mirfendersesk talking about his roadmap to becoming an author.

This month's meeting is geared toward the criminal. Our main speaker, Fiona Tarr, is coming from Noosa.

Our HWG member and  well know true crime author and journalist,  Megan Norris has accepted the 'Under the Spotlight' segment

Congratulations to our Helensvale Writers' members for their latest book launches and events.

Helensvale Writers' Group

Is a friendly group of local people — with writing experience ranging from extensive to minimal, as well as others just starting out or those simply interested in the process of writing.

Within the group, there are writers interested in short stories, novels, children’s stories, historical research, screenplays, memoirs, poems; any and every type of writing.

We meet on the third Thursday of each month, at 10 a.m. until midday.
